Star & Dagger is a blues-rock/metal group made up of good friends Sean Yseult (White Zombie) on bass, Dava She Wolf (Cycle Sluts From Hell) on lead guitar, and the sublime vocalist Von Hesseling. Their debut album titled Tomorrowland Blues was released August 2013. Recorded at Rancho de la Luna and Hicksville, Joshua Tree, it is produced by Ethan Allen and Dave Catching, mastered by J. Yuenger (White Zombie) and released on the label Cauldron 333, distributed by Megaforce Records. Performing on the record are Dustin Crops on drums, and Dave Catching making a guest appearance on slide guitar. On the road, Dave Catching and Ethan Allen have filled in on guitar and Gene Trautmann and Michael Brueggen on drums.

  Star & Dagger was formed with auspicious beginnings: Sean and Dava were drinking late one night with the legendary Lenny Kaye (noted rock journalist and founder member of the Patti Smith Group) when he declared: "You two must start a band, I see it!" They took his word and set to it. With Sean's trademark heavy groove bass lines, Dava's inspired guitar riffs and lyrics, and Von's soulful voice the band immediately created their own sound and went to record ten songs. They did further recordings with J. Yuenger at Graveyard Studios, New Orleans which was released as an e.p. 12" vinyl release, entitled "In My Blood" on the New Orleans boutique label Last Hurrah Records.

  The band has attracted much attention, selling out their first show in LA and opening for High on Fire, Helmet, Eagles of Death Metal, Down, The Melvins, and Saint Vitus. They performed at the 2012 Voodoo Fest and did a tour of the UK Spring 2013, record release parties in Fall 2013 with prize coffin basses given away to fans, and at the premiere Housecore Horror Film Fest in Austin.
